Yesterday I came home around 10 o'clock in the evening. I went on the internet for a while and before I knew it was something past midnight. My mom still wasn't home. I decided I'd just go to bed. She had only been out and returned past midnight one time before. This morning I didn't see her keys laying where they usually lay. All the lamps I had turned on last night were still burning and in her room I saw that she wasn't there. It didn't look as if she had been home. Now I am wondering if there is something wrong. I do know there's a festival down town Reykjavik, but my mom is nearly 60, she wouldn't do an all nighter, would she? Or she is staying with a friend. I'm suspecting she has a boyfriend. Hehe... So this afternoon I go iceskating with the other afs people and when I return and she isn't home, I'll just call around. Normally she'd left a note, right? That'd be what I have done.
Anyway, yesterday I had my day off. It was great. Lobke called at eleven to say that she was still sick at home. She invited me to come over (we had talked about that on the phone on Thursday) and she also asked me to bring some food with me. So I went to buy donuts (hmm...) and noodles (200 kronars for 5 packets.. that's like 2,50 dollar for 5 packets... which is very very cheap!). We made the noodles and watched Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone. Than we went on the internet for a while. Lobke had received the last year emails from someonelikesyou.com and so we tried figuring out who it was, but we didn't succeed (you have to have a lot of emailadresses for that). After that we ate the donuts and then we watched Hercules. During Hercules Lobke called her boyfriend in Belgium. They talked about me. Argh! Lobke is trying to match me up with a friend of hers in Belgium. Ok, so I've said he looked yummie in a picture. Shouldn't have said that of course. After the phone call we started watching Lilo and Stitch, but then Lobke's dad came in with pizza. Yay! Pizza! When all the pizza was gone there was a phone call from Wim. He wanted to go drink something. So I dragged Lobke with me. Even if she was sick. Sick persons definitly don't talk that much, that's for sure.
And that's about it.
Now, around one o'clock in the afternoon I go iceskating. Damn, me and iceskating is like... well... it isn't a good combination, that's for sure. So it's going to be a lot of fun. Haha... I hope I don't break anything. Wish me luck!
